Product Overview
Originally patented on August 1, 1893 by L.L. Hepburn, the Model 1894 features a revolutionary lever-fire system with repeat-fire capability. The Model 1894 included a new locking bolt and two-piece firing pin, alongside an improved one-piece trigger and a short receiver that enabled cartridge compatibility with 1888 and 1889 models.
The Marlin 1894CB is an elegant carbine chambered for pistol calibers. Its handy size is punctuated by a quick-pointing, straight-grip stock design and Old West-styled, adjustable semi-buckhorn sights. It looks the part for the open range, but beneath the richly blued finish, classic black walnut stock and fore-end, beats the receiver of a precision-tuned modern firearm.
The offset hammer spur is provided along with a mounting wrench to ensure the best hammer control possible when an optic is mounted on a lever action receiver as there may not be enough space
between the optic and the hammer to adequately place a thumb on and control the hammer. The offset hammer spur can be mounted on either side of the hammer for left or right-handed shooters.
Features
- Ballard-type rifling (6 grooves)
- Solid-top receiver tapped for scope mount
- Tough Mar-Shield finish
